Noise

In accordance with Strata Management Act 2015 and the registered by-laws of the strata, residents, tenants and visitors must not create noise in their apartment or on the common property that is likely to interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of the property of another resident or tenant.

If you cannot resolve a noise issue with a neighbour you can raise the matter with StrataChoice to take it further.  

The NSW Office of Fair Trading has useful advice on dispute resolution.

Environmental legislation requires that loud noise is not allowed after 10pm from Sunday to Thursday and after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Environmental Protection Agency produces a helpful guide to dealing with neighbourhood noise as well as advice on how to be a good neighbour yourself.

If you are having work done on your apartment, please comply with the convention to restrict noisy work to between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am and 3.30pm on Saturday.

As a courtesy, please advise neighbours if and when you are planning a party or loud works in your apartment.  You can place a message on the noticeboard in the main lift lobby or ask that a message be posted on the digital noticeboard.
